MAYOR Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yul Servo are sending prayers and good wishes for Dr. Willie Ong’s recovery after it was reported that he has cancer.
Lacuna and Servo said that on behalf of the members of their families, the Manila City Council, Congressmen, officials and employes of the city as well as all of Manilans, they are praying for him and his family as they face such a challenge in their lives.
The mayor said that Dr. Ong, known as Doc Willie, “showed his unique dedication to public service through his vlogs which he does with his wife Dr. Liza.”
“In their vlogs, the doctor-couple share tips and information on wide-ranging health concerns that are based on studies and facts,” Lacuna said.
She said they all wish he overcomes his illness.
It will be recalled that Doc Willie was fully supported by Manila’s ruling party, Asenso Manileno, when he ran for Vice President in the 2022 elections.
