ISKO, HONEY, TO INAUGURATE THE NEW OSPITAL NG MAYNILA ON JUNE 24

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that he and Vice Mayor, now Mayor-Elect Honey Lacuna, will inaugurate the New Ospital ng Maynila on June 24, to mark the occasion of the city’s 450th Founding Anniversary.

Moreno said the constuction of the new, modern hospital is now 99. 6 percent complete and all the major equipment have already been put in place.

“The people deserve better. The mayor cited the support of Lacuna in her capacity as the second highest official in City Hall and also as Presiding Officer of the Manila City Council, as highly instrumental in the success of the said project along with other successful programs of the city.

Moreno also commended the construction workers as well as the team of city engineer Armand Andres for their hard work to finish the hospital at the soonest time possible.

The state-of-the-art Bagong Ospital ng Maynila has a 384-bed capacity, 12 intensive care units and 20 private rooms, as well as other amenities such as the three-storey parking building and a helipad, among others. Its emergency room has 30 beds in all and the entire hospital will be fully-airconditoned once it begins full operations.

He vowed that the new hospital will be at par with leading private hospitals in terms of facilities and services available, which will be given for free. (Baby Cuevas)
