IMMIGRATION ONE STOP SHOP OPENS AT NAIA 3

A one-stop-shop (OSS) was launched at the NAIA Terminal 3 by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) led by Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said the OSS will process extensions and exit clearances, which are some of the primary problems encounted by departing foreign nationals.

“This (OSS) is one way para mapalapit sa tao ang mga serbisyo… so, wala nang excuse or dahilan for any foreigner not to comply with regulations. Actually, ang gusto natin is to encourage foreign nationals to legitimize their stay. Ayaw natin na may excuse sila na di kumuha ng tamang dokumento kaya ang priority ni Commissioner Tansingco ay ilapit sa public ang serbisyo ng Bureau of Immigration,,” she added.

Sandoval said that Tansingco has plans to expand the services offered at the said OSS and extend it to other airports, depending on the need, after the launching which was also attended by Terminal 3 were BI-Intelligence Division chief Jun Manahan, Deputy Commissioner Rogelio Gevero and Alien Registration Division chief Atty.
