NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – Brigadier General Caroline Salahun, Asia-Pacific Director of France’s Direction Générale de L’armement (Directorate General of Armaments – DGA), paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Navy acting Flag Officer In Command represented by the Chief of Naval Staff Commodore Jose Ma Ambrosio Ezpeleta on Wednesday, November 9 at the Philippine Navy (PN) Headquarters here.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss defense cooperation between France and the Philippines, as well as mutual concerns that will be considered for future collaboration.
Brigadier Gen Salahun thanked the Chief of Naval Staff for the productive discussion which provided an opportunity to help strengthen the continuing collaborative relationship between France and the Philippines.
DGA serves as the defense procurement and technology agency of the French government. It oversees the program management, development, and purchase of weapon systems for the French military. (VICTOR BALDEMOR RUIZ)
