Aabot sa may 150,000 pasahero kada araw ang makikinabang sa Metro Manila Subway project sa pagtatapos ng proyekto sa 2028.
Ang pahayag ay ginawa ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. matapos pangunahan ang groundbreaking para sa Contract Package 104 (CP104) ng Metro Manila Subway Project-Ortigas at Shaw Boulevard Stations at Tunnels sa Pasig City.
“As the Ortigas and Shaw Boulevard stations pan through the business district of Pasig City, we look forward [to the fact] that this project will benefit approximately 150,000 passengers a day by the year 2028,”ayon kay Marcos Jr.
Nabatid na ang 33-kilometro underground railway system, ay iiksi ang oras ng biyahe sa pagitan ng Quezon City at Manila Airport na mula sa biyahe na 1 oras at 30 minuto na magiging 35 minuto.
Ang naturang foreign-assisted project, ay gagawin ng Tokyu Construction Co., Ltd., Tobishima Corporation, at Megawide Construction Corporation, na pinondohan ng Japan International Cooperation Agency.
