MASSIVE SURRENDER OF MEMBERS MANIFESTS TERROR GROUPS’ DOWNFALL — WMC CHIEF

INIHAYAG ni AFP Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., na ang nagaganap ngayong maramihang pagsuko ng mga kasapi ng teroristang grupo ay manipestasyon nang tuluyang pagguho ng terrorist movement sa bansa partikular sa kanilang nasasakupan.

Sa ulat , may 39 kasapi ng local terrorist groups na kumikilos sa Central Mindanao ang nagsalong ng kanilang mga sandata nitong nakalipas na linggo.

Sa nasabing bilang, 21 rito ay mula sa Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters-Bungos Faction, habang 12 naman mula sa BIFF-Karialan Faction, at anim na kasapi ng Daulah Islamiyah-Turaifie Group.


Ayon kay Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, Commander ng Joint Task Force Central ang maramihang pagsuko ay inayos ng 601st Infantry Brigade na pinamumunuan ni Col. Oriel Pangcog; 6th Infantry Battalion na nasa pangunguna mi Lt. Col. Charlie Banaag; 4th Brigade, Field Guard, Base Command National Guard Front, MILF-BIAF na pinamumunuan ni Datu Rhenz Tukuran.

Kabilang sa mga sandatang sinuko ang tatlong 5.56mm M16A1 rifles, tatlong cal. 30 M1 Garand rifles, daalwang 7.62mm M14 rifles, dalawang cal. 30 converted to M14 rifles, one 5.56mm M653 Carbine, tatlong 5.56mm rifles, labing isang 7.62mm Sniper rifles, dalawang caliber . 50 Barrett Sniper rifles, dalawang rocket-propelled grenade Launchers, apat na 40mm M79 grenade launchers, dalawang 60mm mortar, isang cal. 30 Bolt Action rifle, isang cal. 30 Carbine , apat na rocket-propelled grenade high explosive ammunition, isang 105mm projectile, isang rocket warhead, isang 2.75 inch rocket warhead, tatlong Sidik RPG, limang rounds ng 40mm HE AVACOR cartridges, at limning improvised explosive devices.

Samantala may 30 CPP-New Peoples Army naman ang sumuko rin sa Central Mindanao ayon kay Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, Commander ng Joint Task Force Central sa himpilan ng 6th Infantry Division sa Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

“This success is a result of the joint efforts of the 603rd Infantry Brigade, 37th Infantry Battalion, and the intelligence units,” ani Maj. Gen. Uy .


Bitbit ng mga sumuko ang tatlong 5.56mm M16A1 rifles, dalawang 7.62mm M14 rifles,isang cal. 30 rifle, dalawang 9mm SMG, dalawang cal. 38 revolvers, tatlong cal. 357 revolvers, isang hand fragmentation grenade, isang 5.56mm pistol, dalawang 12 gauge Shotgun, at isang 12 gauge pistol.
