A 39-year-old man who allegedly abducted a four-year-old boy along Adriatico Street on Monday morning was nabbed by watchmen from Barangay 701 in Malate, Manila.
Identified as Junnel Foster, the suspect, who is said to be a member of the notorious ‘Sputnik Gang’ and residing at No. 248 Saint Mary, Maricaban, Pasay City, had been placed under arrest by the Manila Police District – Station 9 and is now facing charges before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
Based on initial investigation, at the victim’s father, aged 26, reported his son missing after he asked permission to visit his grandmother who lives nearby.
A CCTV recording showed that the suspect, identified as approached the victim and held him by the hand, along Adriatico Street and then brought him to the direction of Taft Avenue at around 1 p.m.
Upon returning to the area at past 11 p.m., the uspect was mobbed by angry residents and brought to Barangay Ex-Officio Ator Ibahim and barangay tanod Aldrin Dangan, who turned the suspect over to the police.
The victim was subsequently located in a house in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City and was safely returned to his parents.#
