A 35-year-old man wanted for murder and in the ‘Top Ten Most Wanted Person (TTMWP)’ at the Regional Level of PNP Region 6 was arrested by the Quezon City Police District – District Special Operation Unit (QCPD-DSOU) headed by Lt. Col. Rolando Lorenzo, Jr.
Mark Lowell Pabalinas Atienza, of No. 310 Dela Paz St., Brgy. Sto Niño, Marikina City, was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Presiding Judge Honorable Phoebe A Gargantiel-Balbin of Bacolod City RTC Branch 45 on July 12, 2021.
Lorenzo said that based on investigation, the accused went into hiding after killing his uncle in Bacolod City sometime in September 2020 hence, a warrant of arrest was issued by the said court against him on July 12, 2021 for the crime of murder (RPC Art 248) docketed as criminal case no. 21-53911 with no bail recommended.
After confirming the location of the suspect through several intel-driven and series of surveillance operations, the police went to arrest him, Lorenzo said. (JERRY S. TAN)
