Male Passenger Bound for HongKong Arrested at NAIA 3

Authorities from the NAIA Police Station 3 (NAIA- PS3), the MIAA Airport Police Department (APD) headed by Col. Bing Jose, and the Pasay City Police Station Sub-Station 9 (Villamor) apprehended a 37-year-old male passenger intending to depart for HongKong in the morning of July 9, 2024.

According to initial reports, the passenger was found to have an outstanding warrant of arrest issued by Taguig City Regional Trial Court Branch 69 for Violation of Republic Act 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. The warrant specified a bail bond amounting to P24,000.

Upon interception at the departure area, the accused was informed of his Constitutional Rights using an Alternative Recording Device in accordance with A.M. 21-06-08 issued by the Supreme Court of the Philippines and was subsequently placed under the custody of Pasay City Police Station Sub-Station 9 (Villamor) for processing and documentation.


Meanwhile, PNP AVSEGROUP Director PBGen Christopher Abrahano commended the collaborative effort that led to the successful interception and arrest.

Abrahano also lauded the readiness of PNP AVSEGROUP, MIAA APD, and Pasay City Police Station to prevent individuals from evading legal consequences.
