THE Manila Police District (MPD) is hunting down the brains behind the sale of fake licenses and PWD (persons with disability) identification cards on Rizal Avenue in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
This, after two women were arrested following extensive surveillance by the MPD’s special operations unit.
The two arrested suspects claimed they did not manufacture the fake IDs and were just there to sell them.
It was learned that the police dispatched a poseur-buyer and once the fake ID was purchased for P500, the cops had the two sellers arrested.
Buyers need to wait for just an hour to get the fake ID they need.
The two had been chaerged with falsification of public documents before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
Meanwhile, MPD public information officer PMaj. Philipp Ines warned the public against patronizing such illicit activities, saying buyers can be held equally liable.
