MARIING nilinaw kahapon ng pamunuan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines na hindi nila kailangan na magsagawa ng loyalty check sa kanilang hanay o sa buong organisasyon sa gitna ng mga mainit na usaping politikal sa bansa.
Ayon sa AFP, walang sundalong papatol sa mga sulsol o pasaring ng iilan para mag-aklas laban sa lehitimong pamahalaan dahil nananatiling buo, matatag at isang professional organization ang Hukbong Sandatahan.
Kamakailan lamang ay nagpasaring ang dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte na military lamang ang maghihilom ng sugatanga politika at sa nangyayari sa bansa. Kasabay ito ng tanong na hanggang kelan sila susuporta sa isang ‘drug addict’ na pinuno ng bansa.
“There is a fractured governance sa Pilipinas ngayon, Nobody can correct Marcos, nobody can correct Romualdez… There is no urgent remedy… It is only the military who can correct it,” ani Dutere sa pulong- balitaan.

Ayon kay AFP Spokesperson Francel Margarete Padilla. “at this point, there is no need for loyalty checks, our chief of staff (General Romeo Brawner) has already stated that he trusts that each soldier will perform its mandate accordingly and remain professional. “
“Ang amin pong loyalty is to the flag and to the constitution and we adhere to the chain of command. The Armed Forces of the Philippines is a non-partisan organization,” aniya.
Sa ginanap na pulong-balitaan kahapon sa loob ng Camp Aguinaldo ay nakiusap ang pamunuan ng Hukbong Sandatahan na huwag ng kaladkarin ang kasundaluhan sa isyung politikal.
“As our Chief of Staff has already stated, our Armed Forces is united and professional. So, with all of these things, sir, we respectfully request that we are shunned away from political issues,“ anito.
Wala rin umanong plano ang AFP na sirain ang tiwala ng walo sa bawat sampung Pilipino sa Hukbong Sandatahan base na rin sa resulta ng isinagawang pag- aaral ng OCTA research.
