UMATRAS si House Deputy Speaker at senatorial candidate Loren Legarda sa gaganaping forum na inorganisa ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).
“The team behind #TheRundown2022 would like to inform the public that Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda withdrew her participation from The Rundown 2022: A Youth Oriented Senate Elections Forum,” laman ng Facebook post ng Comelec sa kanilang opisyal na page.
Sa mensaheng ipinadala ng kampo ni Legarda sa organizer ng forum nitong Marso 10, sinabi nito na mayroong ‘conflict’ sa iskedyul ng mambabatas kaya hindi siya makasasama sa event.
Nakatakdang idaos ang “The Rundown” ngayong Marso 12 mula alas-3 ng hapon hanggang alas-6:30 ng gabi. Mapapanood ito sa opisyal na Facebook page ng The Rundown 2022, Comelec at iba pa nilang kapartner.
Ayon sa Comelec, layon ng The Rundown na mahasa ang kritikal na pag-iisip ng mga botante ukol sa mga kandidatong tumatakbo sa halalan at upang makapili ng mga nararapat sa posisyon.
“Despite this, The Rundown remains committed to its goal of sparking critical discourse among the Philippine Electorate. We look forward to your continued support towards shaping an informed vote,” ayon sa Comelec. (TSJ)
