BINIGYAN ng hanggang April 26, 2022, dalawang araw bago ang naka ambang bigtime oil price hike ng Department of Interiors and Local Government ang mga siyudad at munisipalidad para magsumite ng listahan ng mga qualified trike drivers para fuel subsidy.
Nagbaba ng directiba ang DILG sa lahat ng City and Municipal Mayors sa buong bansa para magsumite ng validated list ng mga qualified tricycle drivers sa mga DILG regional offices bago matapos ang April 26, 2022 deadline bilang paghahanda sa panibagong round ng fuel subsidy s ailalim ng Pantawid Pasada Program na pinangunahan ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at ng Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Ayon kay Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo M. Año pinamamadali niya sa lahat ng city and municipal local chief executives (LCEs) na maglabas ng listahan ng mga kwalipikadong trike drivers para mapabilis ang proseso.
Nabatid na ang hinihingi ng talaan ay magiging basehan ng DOTr-LTFRB sa pagkakaloob ng fuel subsidy na makakatulong sa mga tricycle drivers “whose meager income is further cut by the recent oil price hikes,” ani Sec Ano.
“I urge all City and Municipal LCEs to produce a validated list of qualified tricycle drivers who will receive the Pantawid Pasada Program fuel subsidy. Kailangan po ito ng ating mga kababayang tricycle drivers who have been burdened by the recent unprecedented oil price hikes,” dagdag pa ni Año.
“Sana po ay paspasan po natin ang pag-aasikaso ng listahang ito para kahit papaano ay maibsan ang pasanin ng ating mga drayber,” pahayag pa ng kalihim.
Sa ilalim ng Fuel Subsidy Program or Pantawid Pasada Program na pinopondohan ng sa pamamagitan ng General Appropriations Act of 2022, fang fuel assistance na nagkakahalaga ng P6,500 ay direktang ipagkakaloob sa mga trike driver at mga affected jeepney drivers , mga qualified drivers ng UV express, minibuses, buses, shuttle services, taxis, at iba pang full-time ride-hailing (gaya ng transport network vehicle service or TNVS and motorcycle taxis) and delivery services nationwide.
Sa ilalim ng DILG Memorandum Circular 2022-047, ayon kay Año, ang mga local government units (LGUs) ay kailangan magsumite ng validated list of tricycle drivers; tricycle franchisees; addresses; electronic wallet accounts; at numero ng mga operating tricycles at other details within their respective jurisdictions.
“Ito din ay kailangang certified ng City or Municipal Mayors at Vice Mayors. This is to ensure that the list we will forward to the DOTr-LTFRB is correct and legitimate,” Año said.
“In as much as we want to assist everyone, we must abide by the set parameters kaya hinihiling namin ang pangunguna ng mga LGU at kooperasyon ng ating mga tricycle driver upang mabilis na maibaba ang fuel subsidy na ito sa kanila,” ani Año.
Nabatid na kumpirmado na ang bigtime oil price hike sa Martes na aabot sa P3 kada litro. Ayon sa Department of Energy ito ay dulot ng hindi pag-usad ng peace talks sa pagitan ng Ukraine at Russia.
Unang nagpahayag ng kanilang big time oil price increase ang kompanyang Unioil, tataas ng P3.90 hanggang P4.10 ang diesel kada litro.
Aabot naman sa P3.00 hanggang P3.20 ang itataas sa kada litro ng gasolina.
Una rito, sinabi ng Department of Energy na magkakaroon ng malakihang increase sa produkto ng petrolyo sa susunod na linggo.
Samantala naipamahagi na ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ang P12 million mula sa kabuuang P1.1 billion na pondo para sa fuel subsidy ng mga corn farmers at mangingisda sa buong bansa na apektado ng patuloy na pagsipa ng presyo ng langis.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Agriculture Assistant Secretary Noel Reyes na makakatanggap ng P3,000 fuel subsidy ang mga magsasakang rehistrado sa ilalim ng Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) at mga mangingisdang rehistrado rin sa Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR).
