Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Service and Intelligence personnel Jonie Naldo discovered a clutch bag left in the passenger waiting area of Laguindingan Airport.

CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio said that following standard security protocols, the clutch bag was subjected to K-9 inspection. Upon further examination, it was found to contain a passport, identification cards, a passbook from a passenger from Marawi City, and P100,000 in cash.

Area Manager Job de Jesus of Area Center 10 is calling for the rightful owner to claim the bag at the CSIS Office of Laguindingan Airport.

This incident which took place on Dec. 21 follows another successful lost-and-found case on December 19 at Puerto Princesa Airport, where a missing item was returned to its owner.

CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo reminds all passengers to keep their valuables secure and double-check their belongings before boarding.

All CAAP-operated airports remain on heightened alert in preparation for the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the holiday season.
