Isa na namang milestone para sa Philippine-China G2G cooperation ang nabuo ng lumagda ang China at Pilipinas para sa isang commercial contract para sa Consulting Services for the Conduct of Detailed Engineering Design and Construction Supervision ng Davao River Bridge.
Ang China Aid Localized Project For Davao River Bridge (Bucana Bridge), ay babagtas sa Davao River sa Davao City. Isa itong dual 2-lanes na may habang 1,340m.
Oras na matapos ay mapapagaan nito ang umiiral east-west traffic congestion sa mga coastal areas ng lungsod sa pamamagitan ng pag divert ng nasa 35,000 vehicles araw araw .
Mapapabilis nito ng husto hindi lamang ang daloy ng trapiko kundi maging ang takbo ng kalakalan na magpapalago ng ekonomiya .
This will boost the rapid development of the local socio-economy. Moreover, it is estimated that 300 to 500 local people will be employed during peak construction period, pahayag naman ni China Ambassador to the Philippine Huang Xilian.
Matapos ang naganap pirmahan ng kontra sa pagitan ng Department of Public Works and Highways at ilang Chinese companies ay magsasagawa agad ang panig ng Consultant ng geotechnical investigation, geodesic surveys and data collection, .
Para makumpleto na rin ang detailed engineering design. The survey and design are scheduled to be completed within 6 months, and the construction supervision duration of the Project is planned to be 24 months.
