VERY proud si Julia Barretto dahil na-promote ang boyfriend na si Gerald Anderson bilang auxilliary captain sa Philippine Coast Guard.
Sina Julia at Gerald ay very supportive sa isa’t isa sa kanilang endeavors, showbiz man ito o outside the entertainment industry.
Aside sa pagiging actor si Gerald ay active din siya sa kanyang duty bilang member ng PCG.
He is being admired by many people because this title is not merely something that is attached to his name.
Kamakailan lang ay tumanggap ang actor ng promotion mula sa Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) bilang auxiliary captain.
Present si Julia kasama ang ama ni Gerald na si Gerald Randolph Anderson Sr. sa oath-taking ceremony.
Maging ang ina ng aktres na si Marjorie Barreto at ang COO for broadcast of ABS-CBN na si Cory Vidanes ay naroroon din bilang suporta sa actor.
Ang oathtaking ceremony was resided over by Adm. Ronnie Gil Gavan, commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard, at Senator Robin Padilla.
Nakapanayam after ng ceremony si Gerald, aniya: “More than the rank, it’s just being here with amazing people. Na-recognize tayo ng idol natin sa ganitong sitwasyon and circumstances, di ba? Si Senator Robin Padilla pa yung nag-pass ng resolution for this to happen.”
Habang ini-interview si Gerald ay nakatayo sa kanyang tabi ang girlfiend ba si Julia na kinuhanan din ng pahayag sa bagong achievement ng boyfriend.
“More than anything, I’m very proud to have been part of the celebration, to witness this milestone for him. I am so proud of him because he really does his duties and really goes out there. Love to help,” say ng aktres.
Dugtong pa niya: “At the end of the day, I really am just his partner who will always have his back.”
