AYON kay Janella Salvador, hangga’t maaari ay ayaw muna niyang gumawa ng horror film.
Nata-type cast na raw kasi siya sa mga nakakatakot na pelikula.
May scariest encounter nga raw kasi siya sa unang ginawa niya noon.
Ang aktres ang kapareha ni Piolo Pascual sa “Mallari” kung saan tatlong karakter ang ginagampanan ni Papa P sa Mentorque Productions na entry para sa Metro Manila Film Festival.
Ayon sa aktres, sana nga raw ay ayaw ay ayaw na niyang gumawa ng horror film, pero sadyang hinahabol daw yata talaga siya ng horror flick.
Marami na kasing horror movies na ginawa ang single mom.
Katunayan nga raw, bigla siyang nag-goose bump dahil may kakaiba siyang naramdaman ng nagsu-shoot ng “Mallari.”
“May exorcism na slight na naganap!” aniya.
“To be honest, before I accepted this film, parang sinabi ko sa sarili ko parang gusto ko magpahinga muna sa horror. Kasi medyo nata-typecast na rin ako sa mga horror. Like my first film as Haunted Mansion which was horror. I did Bloody Crayons which was also a slasher film, Killer Bride, parang tuloy tuloy yung horror and hindi siya nawala. So I said gusto ko muna magpahinga.
“But as soon as I read the script, sabi ko this is something na hindi ko puwede palagpasin. It’s so well written. It’s very detailed. Hindi mo siya maiintindihan fully when you first read it but it’s so detailed and beautifully written even up to the smallest characters are characters. Everything is well written,” paliwanag niya.
Ang gusto naman daw sana niyang gawin ay Dyesabel.
“Dito sa set na ito wala. Pero nung Oh My G!, hindi ko alam kung nakuwento ko na ito dati pero nung Oh My G! I was just 17 at that time and it was a show about God if you didn’t know. So siyempre it’s very spiritual and everything was revolving around that.
“Tapos I would visit the church, ‘yung mga Carmelite sisters, ganyan. So pumunta ako sa church at linapitan ako ng isang madre. Tapos sabi niya, ‘Lagi akong nanunuod ng Oh My G! Kailangan mo mag-pray.’ Kasi lagi daw may nakahawak na black na kamay sa shoulders ko sa dalawang eksena. May nakikita daw siya. So after that, they prayed over me. Medyo may exorcism ng slight na naganap. So as a teenager pinagdaanan ko yun. Natanggal naman siya thankfully,” balik-tanaw ng aktres.
Nagkaroon ng fan meet event ang cast ng “Mallari” kamakailan.
“The Q & A part I think that’s a first for me. We don’t usually do that. So I think it’s a great opportunity to be able to talk to our supporters, our audiences, and excited ako kasi matagal tagal ko na rin itong hindi nagawa, a mall show. Ever since nagka-pandemic, nagkaanak ako. And it just shows that this production is really giving everything they can and so I’m just really just grateful to be a part of it,” say ni Janella.
