Hiniling sa Supreme Court (SC) ni Atty.Ferdinand Topacio na i-indirect contempt si dating election commissioner Rowena Guanzon kaugnay sa kanyang Tweet noong Hunyo 2022.
Ito ay may kinalaman sa petisyon ni Guanzon na i-disbar si Topacio
Sa inihain na petisyon ni Topacio sa SC, dapat umano na ma-contempt si Guanzon dahil sa paulit-ulit nitong sinasabi sa social media ang kanyang disbarment case. Ito ay sa kabila umano na confidential ang proceedings ng kaso.
“There is no doubt that respondent’s actions were unnecessary and intentionally done to humiliate and tarnish the reputation of [Topacio] publicly,” the petition read.
“Specifically assailed in this Petition are the contumacious conduct of respondent through her aforementioned Twitter account in tarnishing the reputation of petitioner in public by maliciously and publicly disclosing for several times the disbarment complaint and unjust vexation case she filed against petitioner,” dagdag pa ni Topacio.
