In a coordinated operation, personnel of the PNP-Aviation Security Group, together with CIDG Davao de Oro PFU 11 and Mawab Municipal Police Station, Davao de Oro PPO, successfully arrested a 26-year-old arriving passenger at the Davao International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, October 8, 2024.
The accused was apprehended pursuant to a non-bailable warrant of arrest for violation of Section 4 (A) and Section 4 (B) of Republic Act No. 11930, also referred to as the “Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009”.
The arrested individual is currently in the custody of the PNP-CIDG PFU 11 and Mawab Municipal Police Station for documentation and further legal proceedings.
“We want to emphasize that no matter the nature of the offense, we will continue to apprehend individuals who break the law. It is our duty as police officers to ensure that justice is served”, PBGen Christopher N Abrahano, Director, PNP AVSEGROUP stated.
