In a fitting tribute to courage and commitment, several drug enforcement officers were honored under Operation: “Lawmen” on May 22, 2025 for their bravery during high-impact anti-drug operations that led to major arrests and seizures.

The awardees, representing units from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP) and other law enforcement agencies, were cited for their direct involvement in operations that posed significant risks and yielded substantial results in the campaign against illegal drugs.

“Today we recognize not just successful operations, but the valor and discipline of our law enforcers who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. Their actions embody the spirit of Operation: ‘Lawmen’ — where courage meets commitment”, said Director General Undersecretary Isagani R Nerez.

Under the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 1 Series of 2016, Operation: “Lawmen” provides monetary and non-monetary rewards to qualified law enforcers involved in significant anti-drug operations, especially those supported by operational plans and followed by the filing of criminal cases.

Director General Nerez added that this recognition is not just about rewards — it is about trust, sacrifice, and relentless pursuit of justice. “We thank all drug enforcers for their unwavering commitment and assure them that the nation stands behind them”, he said.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to institutionalize support and motivation for law enforcement through sustained implementation of Operation: “Lawmen”.
