A high-value target drug personality was arrested during the implementation of search warrant by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- Regional Special Enforcement Team (PDEA RSET), La Union Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (LUPPO-PDEU), PDEA La Union Provincial Office (PDEA LUPO), PDEA Seaport Interdiction Unit (PDEA-SIU), LUPPO-1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (LUPPO-1st PMFC), and Bacnotan Police Station.
PDEA RO 1 Regional Director, Director III Joel B Plaza identified the suspect as Godofredo Majadas Murao Jr., a meat vendor, who was arrested at around 4:53 AM on May 15,2024 in Bacnotan, La Union.
Seized during the operation were 22 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less 10 grams worth P68,000.00, 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops, weighing more or less five grams worth of P600.00, a brown paper bag, two bundles of transparent plastic sachet, two pieces of improvised tooter, two pieces of improvised sealer, a green box with a label, and a digital weighing scale.
A case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspect, now detained at the PDEA RO I detention facility in Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, San Fernando City, La Union.
