INIHAYAG ni Health Secretary at Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Board Chair Teodoro Herbosa na itinaas na sa P6,350 ang package rate para sa Hemodialysis kada session mula sa P4,000.
Bilang tugon sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. ay pinulong ni Herbosa ang Benefits Committee (Bencom) upang dinggin ang mga feed back mula sa hospitals, dialysis centers at Philippine Society of Nephrology.
Inaprubahan ng PhilHealth Board en banc ang bagong rate na P6,350 per session sa public at private dialysis units.
Pinapayagan rin ang pribadong dialysis units na maningil kung may serbisyo na wala sa listahan ng minimum standard care.
Ang mga nephrologists sa mga pribadong dialysis units ay maaring maningil ng karagdagang professional fee ng hanggang P450 para sa kanilang serbisyo.
Ang susunod na hakbang ay idi-detalye sa PhilHealth Circular and operationalization ng PhilHealth Management para matiyak na ang mas mataas na rate ay makukuha.
“President Marcos Jr. listens and works fast, and so the PhilHealth Board now hears all feedback and is agile, too. This improvement in the hemodialysis benefit package will be complemented by better preventive care benefits,” ayon kay Herbosa.
“We have also reminded Management to work fast on urgent care and emergency benefits to complete the picture,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
