A still unidentified suspect fired at a female rider near Gate 9, Anda Gap, Brgy. 654 in Intramuros Manila, killing her instantly.
The Manila Police District -homicide section said an investigation is underway to establish the suspect’s identity and the motive behind the killing.
Doctors at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) failed to revive the victim identified as Rio Castro, 39, of B12 L9 Karisma Ville Panghulo, Malabon as he was pronounced dead-on-arrival (DOA) at the hospital.
A security guard in the area told police probers that at 12:28 a.m., he was guarding at Hate 9 when the victim arrived aboard a motorcycle and told him to help bring her to the hospital and then lost consciousness.
He then brought the victim to the nearest hospital to no avail.
