ISINUGOD sa hospital si Gary Valenciano nang sa kalagitnaan na ng kanyang show sa Araneta Coliseum last Friday evening.
Nagpe-perform si Mr. Pure Energy sa harap ng kanyang fans sa Araneta Coliseum despite feeling not so well.
His wife.Angeli Pangilinan disclosed the details of his condition on the first night of his “Pure Energy: One More Time” concert.
Ayon kay Angeli sa rehersals pa lang with SB19 ay masama na ang kondisyon ng singer.
Katunayan, na-delay daw ang concert but he still went on with the show, with doctors on standby backstage.
“He ingested something and vomited so many times in the last two hours. He wasn’t sure he could do this concert. The doctors were backstage and he had an IV … and he said he wants to do it! But he has since sang six songs.. changing the repertoire … please continue to pray,” paliwanag ni Angeli.
Hindi tahasang sinabi ni Angeli kung ano ang specific illness ni Gary V.
Ang alam ng lahat noon pa man ay may diabetes na ang singer since he was 14 years old.
Katunayan, binahagi pa ni Gary kung paano niya mina- manage ang sakit niyang diabetes.
“Diabetes can be deceiving of all illnesses. Sometimes, you think you’re ok, but things can be going on inside of you if you don’t take care of yourself the way you should.
“It was my faith that has kept me going up here (mind), up in here (heart). And I’ve been provided with a lot of things that have been able to make things easier. And I say easier because it is a challenge to take care of diabetes,” pahayag ng singer.
However, Gary V failed to finish his concert.
Midway through the show, his team decided to bring the singer to the hospital.
Ayon kay Angeli, her husband was seriously dehydrated after he ate or took something that caused him to throw up so many times.
He was discouraged to do the show but the singer insisted.
Nakakanta pa raw ito ng pito o walo saka nagsabi sa audience kung okey bang tapusin ang show nang maaga.
Pero, in-assure niya ang fans na okay siya.
“Hey guys I’m getting better. Good people are taking care of me. I’ll be okay, don’t worry. God bless!”
There were also “accidents” before the concert, his wife said, even as she appealed for prayers.
Ayon sa anak niyang si Kiana Valenciano: ‘We have been very privileged. Our accounting clerk broke her arm, then our technical director just broke his arm too… and now the main man (Gary V)… please whisper a prayer for him! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. In Jesus’ name.”
