FRENCH NAVY SHIP ARRIVES IN MANILA, SHIP’S COMMANDER VISITS PH NAVY HQS

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The French Navy ship Lorraine (D657) arrived at South Harbor, Manila on Friday, June 23 for a port visit in Manila from June 23 to 29.

Captain Xavier Bagot, Commanding Officer of the Air Defence FREMM (European Multi-purpose Frigate) Lorraine visited the PH Navy headquarters in Manila and was received by Commo Roy Vincent Trinidad, Deputy Commander of the Philippine Fleet.

Commo Roy Vincent Trinidad and Capt Xavier Bagot discussed topics on possible future activities and collaborations between the two navies for the benefit and betterment of both nations. They also talked about previous naval exercises.

Commo. Trinidad assured Capt Bagot the cooperation of the PH Navy. “The invitation will always be there for the French Navy. We will always welcome you. You should be part of every exercise that we have.” he stated.
