The Bureau of Immigration confirmed the deportation of four Japanese nationals to Japan today, November 18, 2024.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the individuals, identified as Ueda Koji, Kiyohara Jun, Suzuki Keiji, and Sawada Masaya, were deported for violation of Section 37(a)(7) of the Philippine Immigration Act, specifically for breaching conditions of stay and being deemed undesirable aliens.

The deportees also have standing arrest warrants in Japan for fraud and theft. Their immediate deportation was coordinated with Japanese authorities to ensure their return to face legal proceedings in their home country.

The BI reiterates its commitment to upholding Philippine immigration laws and supporting international efforts to combat criminality, Viado said.
