A female Chinese national was nabbed by airport authorities after she turned unruly at the departure area of the NAIA Terminal 1 by throwing her things and then lying down at the parking and driveway area while shouting and crying.
She was identified as Yafen Wu, holder of People’s Republic Of China Passport with no. EC0884698, was a passenger of Philippine Airlines Flight PR- 525 bound for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when she became agitated at 6:50 a.m. of October 4, 2024 and made a scene at the West Departure Curbside Area of the NAIA Terminal 1 in Pasay City.
Pat. Mark Allan Agos, duty patroller at that time, monitored the situation as Wun threw her things and tried to jump at the departure curbside but security guard Gian Carlo Andres stopped her.
She then lied down on the parking and driveway area, shouting and crying until airport guards and other law enforcers arrived and pacified her.
The passenger was brought to the police station for further investigation where it was revealed that she had been overstaying and was not allowed to leave by the immigration for failure to present her exit clearance, a government requirement for all exiting foreign workers.
Wun is said to be among the POGO workers who are voluntarity leaving the country after President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. ordered the closure of POGO oeprations.
The passenger wanted to leave the Philippines but did not have enough money to pay for the processing of her exit clearance.
