A 37-year-old man was arrested by the Manila Police District-Station 3 after he was accused of having sexually molested a 16-year-old whom he befriended over Facebook.
MPD spokesman Maj. Philipp Ines said that the suspect, idenfified as Jeffrey, ofcOroquieta Street, Brgy. 310, Sta. Cruz, Manila, has been charged with violation of R.A. 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act) .
The victim told the police that last month, the suspect befriended him over Facebook and on August 4, they had an ‘eyeball’ or met personally at around 11 p.m. The suspect allegedly told the victim he would give her P2,000 if she will show her private parts to him and the girl reportedly agreed.
At around 12 a.m. or an hour after, the suspect called up and demanded that they meet up, threatening he would show her lewd pictures to her friends if she would refuse.
The victim was thus forced to give in to his demand. The suspect brought her to his home where he sexually molested the victim.
From there, the victim proceeded to file a complaint at the MPD-PS 3, resulting in the suspect’s arrest.
