China is leading the fight against climate change and the thinning of ozone layers thru lesser use of mineral fired power plants.
Chinese government disclosed that the installed capacity of non-fossil fuel energy power, such as wind, solar, and hydropower, has now exceeded half of China’s energy power generation, accounting for 50.9% of the country’s total installed capacity and surpassing that of fossil energy.
This momentous achievement to realize China’s clean energy transformation comes in advance, earlier than the country’s goal to have non-fossil capacity surpass that of fossil fuel by 2025.
With China’s aims to have its carbon dioxide emission peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality in 2060, this progress in promoting green and low-carbon energy marks the steady upward trajectory of China in implementing green policies, accelerating energy transformation, and building large-scale photovoltaic and wind power bases nationwide.
It’s reassuring that China’s unrelenting energy conservation and carbon reduction efforts produce remarkable results. Congratulations on China’s impressive feat in leading Global Green Development. Hopefully, we see more successes for China and the rest of the world in our clean energy endeavors!
