NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines, His Excellency Luc Veron, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Navy (PN) Flag Officer In Command, VAdm. Toribio Adaci Jr. at the PN headquarters.
Vice Adm. Adaci and Ambassador Veron had auspicious exchanges underscoring areas of collaborations such as future combined naval exercises, maritime security, and the ongoing modernization program of the PN.
The Navy Chief expressed gratitude to the EU’s assistance that “is crucial in strengthening the Navy’s ability to fulfill its responsibilities in protecting the country’s maritime interests.”
This interaction has helped sustain the Philippines’ diplomatic ties and reinforce confidence with the coalition of countries with the same commitment to upholding regional peace and stability, Navy Public Affair Office chief Cdr. Benjo Negra said yesterday.
