Estafa suspect apprehended at NAIA Terminal 3 upon arrival

A 45-year-old Filipino female passenger arriving from Hong Kong was arrested on a joint service of an arrest warrant at NAIA Terminal 3 on the evening of May 29, 2025, after the Bureau of Immigration flagged her for an outstanding warrant of arrest.

The successful operation involved a coordinated effort between the Bureau of Immigration, NAIA Police Station 3 of Aviation Security Unit- NCR and Barbosa Police Station 14 of the Manila Police District (MPD).


The warrant, issued on July 30, 2013, charges the accused with estafa, with a recommended bail amount of 40,000.

The suspect, a resident of Viente Reales, Valenzuela City, is currently under the custody of Barbosa Police Station 14 of Manila Police District for documentation and further legal proceedings.

“The arrest highlights the effectiveness of our joint efforts and the importance of inter-agency collaboration in maintaining airport security. We remain steadfast in ensuring that individuals with arrest warrants are brought to justice, upholding public safety and the rule of law,” said PBGen Christopher M Abecia, Director, AVSEGROUP.
