Eight tons of relief goods, collected by PCG

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) collected more than eight tons of relief goods in the three-day PCG Task Force Kalinga that began on October 30.

It is known that the PCG will deliver the collected relief goods to the provinces that were damaged by Typhoon Paeng.

Such donation drive of the PCG came from various government agencies that responded to the call of the PCG


The donation will be delivered to the provinces ravaged by the recent calamity using ships, air assets, and land vehicles of the PCG towards the immediate recovery of the country from the effects of the recent calamity.

BRP Melchora Aquino (MRRV-9702) first transported 3,600 family packs from Manila to Iloilo from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

At the same time, BRP Romblon (SARV-3503) with 50 sacks of 50 kilos of rice on board.

DSWD Region VI will receive it for immediate distribution to families affected by Typhoon Paeng in the region.
