Bureau of Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, Port of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) District Collector Carmelita Talusan and other Bureau of Customs (BOC) officials graced the 20th anniversary celebration of e-Konek Pilipinas, Inc. in support of one of the Value-Added Service Providers (VASPs) of the BOC.
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Deputy Director General Vivian Santos, One Lina Group of Companies (OneLGC) Chairman Alberto Lina and wife, Sylvia Lina, Former Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares, Estonian Ambassador to Japan Vaino Reinart, e-Konek Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Guillermo L. Parayno, Jr., e-Konek President Theresita Eisma, OneLGC Presidents, Forwarders, Brokers, Importers, Exporters, and representatives from other private institutions also attended the event.
E-Konek Pilipinas Inc. pioneered the computerization program of the BOC and developed e-Systems designed to make the regulatory processes in the country’s Ecozones efficient. The systems also improved the processes between the government and private sectors. (JERRY S. TAN)
