NAKATAKDANG gawaran ng pagkilala sina dating Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte at dati niyang special envoy to China na si Carlos Chan bilang “Hall of Famers ng 2023 Awards for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding (APPCU).”
Inihayag ng APPCU at ng Chinese Embassy in Manila na kabilang sina Duterte at China sa APPCU Hall of Fame awardees .
Habang mga awardees naman ng APPCU “Outstanding Contributions” category ang kolumnistang si Rigoberto Tiglao na naging dating ambassador sa Greece at Cyprus, at si Dr. Jaime Cruz, na dati ring nagging special envoy to China.
Habang sa “Major Contributions” category, kabilang sa pararangalan sina Regina Rosa Tecson, director ng Satellite Office of Vice President Sara Duterte sa Davao City, at Jose Ong Tajan, dating taga pangulo ng APCU Baguio at dating chairman ng Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce ng Baguio City.
“Their works’ prestige and endeavors in promoting and strengthening the friendship and mutual understanding between the Philippines and China are essentially the basis for selecting them as APPCU Laureates for 2023,” ayon sa APPCU.
Nabatid na binibigyang pagkilala ng Samahan ang mga Filipino na nagsikap para mapalakas ang pakikipag kaibigan sa China at para maisulong ang mutual understanding sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at ng China sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga adbokasiya at kasanayan sa ibat ibang larangan, “disciplines of mass media, public service, trade and commerce, arts, culture, at sciences.”
The six laureates passed the three-stage selection and judging process that started early this year. The Hall of Fame category acknowledges the prestige and stature of the individual, and the immense effort of work the individual has done over time,”pahayag pa ng samahan.
