WALA umanong pinagsisihan ai Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa loob ng kanyang paninilbihan bilang kalihim ng Department of Health (DOH).
Gayunman, inamin ni Duque na sobra siyang nahirapan at ito ang pinakamahirap na posisyon sa gobyerno.
“It’s the most difficult, the first time I was Secretary of Health I led the country in the AH1N1 pandemic… this is more difficult by a factor of 10,” ani Duque.
“This is the most difficult position that I ever held, but I have no regrets. I did my best, I gave all whatever God gave me as a human being. I can always say I tried my best and I did my best. Kung di po sapat, pasensya na lang po, ibigay na lang natin sa susunod at marami pang magaling dyan na mga secretaries,” dagdag pa ni Duque.
Si Duque ay ini-appoint ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong Oktubre 26,2017 matapos i-reject ng Commission on Appointments ang appointment ni dating secretary Paulyn Ubial.
Nagsilbi rin si Duque bilang health secretary mula Hunyo 2005 hanggang Enero 2010 sa administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at namuno rin sa Civil Service Commission sa ikalawang. Aquino administration. (Anthony Quindoy)
