A CASE of torture and illegal detention were filed before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and her best friend, actress-model Rhian Ramo.

The complaint was lodged by Ramos’ driver Bonifacio Baro, who was accompanied by Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption founding chairman Boy Evangelista.

The driver alleged that on January 23, the two accused him of stealing sensitive pictures and detained him for three days in Ramos’ condo unit in Makati City, during which Dee’s bodyguards beat him up.

He claimed that Dee and Ramos also inflicted physical harm on him and demanded for him to produce the said pictures which he denied ever having. Dee and Ramos share the same condo unit.

He said that when he overheard the bodyguards’ plan to kill him, he decided to jump off from the condo unit located at the 39th floor and landed at the 25th floor, with the use of a rope.

Meanwhile, Dee reportedly filed qualified theft charges against the driver for stealing her photos, on January 19, 2026.

Dee reportedly confronted Baro and alleged that the driver did not only admit but also returned some of the photos in question.

The lawyers of Dee and Ramos denied the allegations of Baro.
