INIIMBISTIGAHAN ngayon ng Department of Justice (DOJ).ang 10 kaso ng patayan sa Negros Oriental .
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, matapos na bumisita sa burol ni Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo noong Miyerkules, may “pattern of impunity” sa lalawigan na umano ay kanyang nakikita.
“I think that a lot of people are coming out with information about past cases, but we have to process them properly. We have to look at the evidence. We have to look at the statements. But we’ll look at them one by one,” ani Remulla.
“Kasi ano to eh, ito yung mga reklamong dumating sa amin nung pumunta kami sa wake and they informed us about what was happening in Negros Oriental, in Bayawan City, in Dumaguete, and other areas,” dagdag pa nito.
Si Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo at limang iba pa ay pinagbabaril habang nagpapamahagi ng ayuda sa kanyang mga nasasakupan sa kanyang bahay sa Pamplona, Negros Oriental, noong Marso 4 at noong sumunod na araw ay umakyat na sa 9 ang nasawi sa insidente.
