FORT BONIFACIO, METRO MANILA – Department of National Defense (DND) Officer-in-Charge Senior Undersecretary Jose C. Faustino, Jr., laid out marching orders anchored on President Bongbong Marcos’ thrusts and unity call in his first official visit at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
DND Senior Undersecretary Faustino discussed his thrust to capacitate the military in dealing with the multi-faceted nature of national security issues and in becoming mission-capable across an entire spectrum of operations. He also called on the Philippine Army to sustain its operational gains and decisively end the communist armed conflict.
“Our President has declared on several occasions that our sovereignty is sacred and inviolable, and not a square inch of what is ours will be ceded to anyone,” DND Senior Undersecretary Faustino said in the 10-point defense agenda he issued at the start of his term. (VICTOR BALDEMOR)
