PINAKAKASUHAN na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) si dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo dahil sa material misrepresentation noong 2022 National and Local Elections (NLE).
Napag-alamang inaprubahan na ng Comelec en banc ang rekomendasyon ng kanilang Law Department na ihain na ang impormasyon laban kay Guo sa regional trial court (RTC), bunsod ng paglabag sa Omnibus Election Code.
“The Commission resolved, as it hereby resolves, to adopt the recommendation of the Law Department to the filing of information against Respondent Alice Leal Guo/Ha Ping before the proper Regional Trial Court for violation of Section 74 in relation Section 262 of the Omnibus Election Code (OEC),” nakasaad pa sa 12-pahinang resolusyon ng Comelec en banc na ibinahagi ni Chairman George Erwin Garcia sa media nitong Martes.
Ang kaso ay isinampa matapos na maghain ng kandidatura sa pagka-alkalde ng Bamban si Guo at nagpakilalang isang Filipino.
Na nahaharap na rin sa iba’t- ibang kasong kriminal si Guo, na kasalukuyang nakapiit sa Pasig City Jail.
