Kinumpirma ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) na bumalik na ng bansa si dating Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel “Manny” Bonoan at dumating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Linggo ng umaga, January 18, 2026, lulan ng China Airlines flight CI0701 mula Taipei.
Ayon kay BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval, siya ay inilagay sa BI Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) base sa atas ng Department of Justice (DOJ) upang ma- monitorang kanyang travels kaugnay ng imbestigasyon sa maanomalyang flood control progams at “ghost” projects.
Umalis umano si Bonoan ng 2025 para samahan ang asawa sa United States para sa medical procedure pero siya ay mag-isang umuwi kahapon.
Ayon sa BI, “the issuance of an immigration lookout bulletin is intended to ensure that authorities are promptly informed of the arrival or departure of persons of interest in ongoing investigations.”
