PATAY ANG dalawang kasapi ng Philippine Army habang isa pa ang sugtan nang tambangan ng isang grupo ng ‘armed lawless elements’ sa Barangay Lahi Lahi, Tuburan, Basilan
.
Sa impormasyong ibinahagi ng 18th Infantry Battalion ng Phil. Army, sakay ng dalawang motorsiklo ang mga sundalo mula sa Dugaa Patrol Base at patungong sana sa Charlie Company Command Post nang mangyari ang pag-atake.
“The 18th Infantry Battalion mourns the loss of these brave soldiers, who were victims of this senseless violence while executing their duty to serve and protect the nation. Their sacrifice and unwavering dedication will not be forgotten,” ayon sa 18th IB.
“The unit is committed to providing the necessary assistance and care to the grieving families. Furthermore, the Battalion wishes the wounded personnel a swift and complete recovery,” dagdag nito.
Agad namang ipinag-utos ng pamunuan ng Philippine Army na tuntunin at tugisin ang mga hinihinalang lawless elements group na nasa likod ng pnanambang.
“The 18th Infantry Battalion is committed to bringing these individuals to justice and ensuring they are held fully accountable for their actions. The pursuit will not cease until justice is served,”pagtiyak ng tagapagsalita ng nasabing Army command.
