KINAILANGAN ng dalawang C-130 cargo aircraft ng Philippine Air Force para hakutin ang may 168 POGO workers na nahuli ng mga awtoridad sa lalawigan ng Cebu.
Ayon kay PAF Spokesperson Col. Consuelo Bon Nunag Castillo, nakipag- ugnayan sa kanila ang Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission para magamit ang kanilang air asset para makuha at maibiyahe ang 168 POGO captives papuntang Maynila.
Isinakay sa dalawang C-130 ang mga nahuling POGO at ilan dito ay sinasabing mga tumakas mula sa nadiskubreng POGO hub sa Bamban, Tarlac mula Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base, sa Lapu-Lapu City papuntang Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, sa Pasay City.
“This operation highlights the vital role and the commitment of the PAF and the AFP as a whole, in supporting the law enforcement efforts of the government against organized crime,” ani Col Castillo.
Kinumpirma naman kahapon ng China Embassy sa Maynila na nagkaroon ng kooperasyon ang China -Philippine Law Enforcement para ipatapon pabalik ng China ang may 100 POGO workers .
“On September 6, in line with the consensus to strengthen law enforcement cooperation against POGOs, law enforcement authorities of China and the Philippines repatriated nearly 100 Chinese citizens engaged in offshore gambling in the Philippines,” ayon sa embahada ng China.
“This is another successful joint operation following the Philippine government announcement of ban on all POGOs,” dagdag pa ng tagapagsalita ng China Embassy.
