CTG ARRESTED IN MALAYSIA ARRIVES IN NAIA

Eric Jun Baring Casilao, believed to be the Secretary of the Southern Mindanao Regional Committee and member of the NPA/CPP/NDF and the Communist Terrorist Group was brought back by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after his arrest in Malaysia.

The security forces of the Philippines in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration brought back at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 yesterday morning (Monday) a certain Eric Jun Baring Casilao who was arrested in Malaysia recently.

According to PNP Directorate for Intelligence PM/General Benjamin Acorda who met Casilao at the NAIA terminal 2 on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 530 from Malaysia that arrived past 5 AM Monday escorted by PNP, AFP and in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration.


Acorda said Casilao and his wife May Vargas Casilao went into hiding somewhere in Malaysia and he is the leader of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) operating in Mindanao. His arrest recently was in cooperation with the Malaysian government after a long surveillance as his wife is still at large.

Acorda also said that Casilao has P5.4 million pesos in his head for his arrest and flew back to Davao on board PAL after presenting to the media and will face the court in Davao. He also said that he thanked the Malaysian government who allowed them to track Casilao and his wife for deportation as the Philippine government cancelled their Philippine passports.

Casilao is facing multiple cases of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping and serious illegal detention while his wife May Vargas Casilao stood as the plenary member of the SMRC with standing warrant of arrest for kidnapping, serious illegal detention and attempted murder.
