Ani Sandoval, “there are no indications of foul play, and no external injuries have been reported. While the official Medical Death Summary (MDS) and autopsy findings are still being awaited, initial assessments point to a suspected cardiac arrest as the cause of death.”
Wala din umanong medical conditions on record ang detainee at pinarating na ito ng BI sa Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
“The BI is coordinating closely with embassy officials concerning the necessary arrangements and documentation, even as it continues to provide the necessary assistance and information regarding the case. The BI management, she added, expresses its deep sadness over the unfortunate incident and extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased,” ani Sandoval.
Dagdag pa niya: “The Bureau remains committed to upholding the welfare, safety and dignity of all individuals under its custody. It continues to ensure that persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) are provided with good and humane living conditions in accordance with established human rights standards and custodial protocols and assures the public that it is exerting every effort to safeguard the well-being of all individuals under its care and supervision.”
