The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., welcomed United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) Deputy Commanding General Lt. Gen. James B. Jarrard who rendered a courtesy call at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
During the visit, Lt. Gen. Brawner and Lt. Gen. Jararrd discussed the preparations for capability development and training with USARPAC in 2024 to sustain the strong relations between the two Armies. Both agreed that they would support each other’s organizational and capability development plans, especially towards the PA’s advancement of the Combat Readiness Training Area operations with the deployment of the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center – Philippines to Fort Magsaysay and its increased interoperability in support of the territorial defense of the Philippines.
Lt. Gen. Jarrard will attend the closing ceremony of Exercise Salaknib Phase II at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. He will also visit exercise-related constructions and humanitarian civic assistance in the province.
