CGPA reaffirms strong PA-Indonesian Army partnership

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido reaffirmed the strong defense partnership between the Philippine Army (PA) and the Indonesian Army in his courtesy call on Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat (TNI-AD) Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 10, 2024.

Both Army Chiefs discussed the sustained level of engagement between PA and the Indonesian Army which primarily focuses on capability development and interoperability.

The CGPA also highlighted the bilateral training activities between the two armies such as the Training Activity (TA) PHILINDO STRIKE IV-2024, which will be held at the PA’s 6th Infantry Division’s area of responsibility on August 2024, and TA DOLPHINE 2024, a bilateral exercise between PA’s First Scout Ranger Regiment and the Indonesian Army’s 13th Military Area Command.


It can be noted that the Indonesian Army remains as the most engaged foreign counterpart of PA among the Philippines’ Southeast Asian neighbors.
