CAAP REPORTS ON ILL-FATED CESSNA IN ISABELA; 6 BODIES RETRIEVED

Six bodies of the ill-fated Cessna 206 with registry RP-C1174 that crashed in Isabela were finally retrieved by authorities on board Philippine Air Force (PAF) Huey helicopter that arrived Cauayan Airport at 8:38 AM today from Divilacan, Isabela.

This was learned from Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesman Eric Apolonio, who said that the wreckage of the Cessna 206 aircraft (RP-C1174) that went missing last 24 January 2023 after taking off from Cauayan Airport in Isabela, has been confirmed found on March 09 at around 11:46 AM by the composite teams from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and with some Dumagat who spotted the aircraft at Barangay Ditarum, Divilacan, Isabela.


He said investigators from the CAAP-Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB), which have been tasked to focus on the missing aircraft since its disappearance on 24 January 2023, are already on the crash site to conduct their field investigation. (JERRY S. TAN)
