CAAP-operated Provincial Airports Bring Valentine’s Day Cheer to Passengers via Malasakit Kits

In time for Valentine’s Day, a number of Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) -operated provincial airports are spreading the love and cheer to arriving passengers with the distribution of “Malasakit Kits,” where passengers arriving at airports such as Romblon Airport, San Jose Airport, Bicol International Airport (BIA), and Laguindingan Airport were welcomed with these thoughtful kits.

At BIA and San Jose Airport, passengers may also capture their memories with their loved ones in the airport’s Valentine’s-themed photo station. These activities aim to add a little fun and enjoyment to the passengers’ travel experience, especially during these challenging times.

“We commend our provincial airports for their efforts in bringing amusement and relaxation to our riding public. It is a great initiative to spread the love and joy of Valentine’s Day to our passengers, who are often tired and stressed from their journeys. This is our little way of showing our appreciation to them,” said CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo.

CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said the special activity is a testament to the provincial airports’ commitment to providing excellent service and care to the riding public. The Malasakit Kits and Valentine’s-themed photo stations are just some of the many ways CAAP-operated airports are going above and beyond to make passengers feel valued and appreciated.

Malasakit Kits have been regularly distributed by CAAP on other special occasions such as International Women’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Days, as well as during “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos” campaigns in dense transit seasons such as during Christmas, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (Undas), and Holy Week.
