The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ensures that all passengers are safe due to the incident reported in Siquijor Airport today, January 6, 2025.
An aircraft operated by Sunlight Air, operating flight RLB876 from Mactan to Siquijor, experienced a nose landing gear tire deflation during landing. The aircraft deviated from the runway centerline and came to a stop on the runway. All passengers and crew are safe, and no injuries were reported.
“We have activated the standard airport safety and recovery procedures. The incident is now under assessment in coordination with the airline and relevant aviation authorities.” said CAAP Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul del Rosario.
