The 44 commercially operating airports under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) signified its readiness to serve during this coming three-day weekend.
CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio said that with the November 30 Bonifacio Day holiday being moved to November 27, a three-day holiday will now be enjoyed by Filipinos.
CAAP, together with agencies safeguarding our airports such as the Office for Transportation Security (OTS), the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP), as well as other first aid responders, has initiated routine protocols to ensure swift and orderly processing of passengers passing through our airports, Apolonio said.
“Safety and efficiency are very important in our operations, and together with our partner agencies, we are confident that traveling through our airports this long weekend will be a comfortable experience for our passengers,” said CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo.
Currently, the country has a total of 48 commercially-operated airports, with four of these, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), Clark International Airport, and Caticlan Airport, being managed by separate authorities from CAAP.
